I got this book after a number of friends recommended it to me. I had asked for series they liked and this was a popular one. As I started reading it, after the first 50 or 100 pages I started to think they were crazy. It was long winded and dragged on, I was SO bored. I kept reading because I figured there was no way so many people had read this and loved it if the entire book was a snore. I'm so glad I did! The book reaches a point where everything turns. Basically after Jamie and Claire get married. After that the book is so interesting and such a fun read. Their love story is like no other, and Jamie Fraser is the man of all our dreams. I plowed through the rest of this book and eagerly moved on to the next. If it weren't for the slow beginning I would have given this book a 10. If you start it, don't give up! It gets better!
