I really enjoyed this book and it reminded me a little of Sarah's Key, but with a happier ending. The book follows Phoebe Swift who recently opened a vintage clothing store. She is excited to finally open her dream store, but also running from a terrible event that happened in her life. When she goes to a client's house to sort through potential clothes for her store she meets Mrs. Bell. Mrs. Bell also has a secret in her past that is still haunting her. She and Phoebe end up becoming friends and are able to tell each other their secrets and find comfort in each other. There are other smaller storylines that add to the plot as well, but the main themes of painful secrets and finally finding forgiveness and hope are the focus. A very well-written novel - I will definitely be looking into other books by this author now!
