A mischievous young girl recounts a simple list of the seventeen things adults forbid her to do anymore. The writing is crisp and concise, but it is the multimedia illustrations that truly make this picture book. The list itself is the epitome of understatement (e.g. "I am not allowed to use the stapler anymore," or "I am not allowed to do reports on beavers anymore"), but readers will laugh out loud as they examine the detailed illustrations that show exactly why these things are forbidden.
