Jason is one of the most popular students in his school. Kyra is more of a non-popular student. They begin working on a science fair project and they decide to go over Jason's house to do the work. Jason then beign to "hit" on Kyra. he was like he never seen her in school before but she was so beautiful. Kyra started thinking that Jason loved her, so to feel the passion back, she began engaging in somewhat sexual behavior witb jason. She had done it to make herself feel good.
The author's main purpose of this book is to express to no only teens, but to adults that engaging in sexual behavior is not going to make you feel better, it's temptious. In this case, netiher teen had no one to care for then, so they indulged in caring for each other which was not a good solution to the problem.
