Possibly Hunter's best since Point of Impact (note that I said "possibly," as it's hard to compare Hunter's better books, although I think Point of Impact will always be my favorite). The last two Bob Lee Swagger adventures were good but not in the same league as the first three (or even the Earl Swagger trilogy), but I, Sniper was definitely a return to form. Bob the Nailer is just as captivating as ever and the guncraft Hunter brings to his novels is unequaled. Good villains, fun new allies (and a welcome old one) plus plenty of callbacks to Swagger's earlier adventures and hilarious potshots at the New York Times. Fans won't be disappointed.
