He decides to take a trip around the world with his younger brother who he realizes he doesn't know too well, but who over the 2 years of traveling becomes his best friend. It was reminiscent of Three Weeks with My Brother by Nicholas Sparks though these brothers, Franz and Kurt traveled much farther.
