This was my second attempt at reading this book. The first time I read the book I couldn't even finish it. Granted I didn't really give it my best go, I got to page 50 and then gave up. I just had a feeling that I wouldn't like the book because she wasn't a shifter. But I wanted to read the fourth book in the series but it's not in me to skip a book so I gave this one another try and ended up really liking it. This is probably my favorite book in this series so far.
This book starts off with Brittany preparing to face her first full moon all alone with no mate there to help her through the transition, not that she cares. She had full confidence that she could do it alone. But when the moon reached its zenith, she felt nothing. No pain, no tingling, nothing. And she was crushed when nothing happened. Eventually when she cried herself out she feel asleep and the next day she made her way back to Wolford. She hears about Lindsay and Rafe being mates and it gives her a small jolt of hope that they can be together. But she knows that he wont pick her since she isn't a shifter. But every time they go near each other they both have a strong sense that the other was near. It was true love. Eventually they both get captured by Bio-Chorme and they really get to know each other during their time as captives and they grow to really love each other.
I really enjoyed this book. Much more then I thought I would. 5/5 stars!
