I really liked this book, although I'm not sure I completely understood all of it. The first part introduces Theodora through a look at her past, and set her up as a character I felt I understood. The rest of the book was almost like a dream, abstract, but at the same time a fairly convincing depiction of insanity, and how sometimes it's only when you lose your mind that you're free enough to find yourself.
