This was an easy read for me and pretty fast-paced. I enjoyed reading it, as I truly love anything related to Pride and Prejudice and more particularly, Mr. Darcy. I really liked the idea of reading Pride and Prejudice from Darcy's point of view - especially to see the relationship between Georgianna and him. There were a few things that bothered me about the book though: I did not like the image that it gave of Mr. Bingley and the fact that the MOST important part of the story, in my opinion, was not thoroughly flushed out truly irked me. How can you just SKIM over the botched proposal to Elizabeth??? That's the turning point for Darcy's character! Granted, I haven't read the original Austen version in a few years, but I know she placed a good deal of emphasis on it and I would expect the same respect to the event here. Instead, I read only snippets of the conversation peppered throughout a chapter. Disappointing to say the least, as that is one of my favorite points in the novel.
