I absolutely enjoy the interaction of Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke.

In this story, Eve and Roarke are enjoying their first Christmas together when murder, once again, interrupts them. Judge Harold Wainger has been viciouslt murdered, and the words "Judge Not, Lest You Be Judged" burned in to his chest. Eve recognizes the murder pattern and is not surprised to see that all the people responsible for throwing David Palmer in to a cage three years ago, listed on a note drapped over the judge's loins.

David Palmer was a psychotic murderer who had been sent away for life, but had managed to escape just days before Christmas. Trying to track him down, and keep him from killing everyone on his list, Eve works with her team, and Roarke to try and track every clue they can find. By placing everyone on the list but herself in protective custody, Eve hopes he will go for her next, but in trying to flush her out, David kidnaps Dr. Mira.
