this third installement wasn't half as interesting as the brilliant last two. a somewhat uninteresting and confusing story that brings back Alema Rar (who i hate) and the hapans (who r great) in a confused battle that is difficult to follow.

Tenel ka is great, as is Jacen - again convincing in his turn to the dark side. Ben is a little less so - seeming to have jumped a book in terms of anger and become a little hard nosed.

otherwise it continues the series well, but ininspiringly - a shame after Denning was responsible for such greats as Star by Star. - But not The Dark Nest trilogy - which was rubbish.
