really liked it
bookshelves: robot-ai-fiction, fiction, sci-fi

Loved this book! The friendship of Daneel and Giskard is very interesting and oddly heart warming. I loved getting into their heads a little bit instead of seeing things merely from Elijah's POV. Giskard proved to be a fantastic character, I'm very glad to have 'met' him. I love seeing robots go against their nature to think outside the box and thats what this book is really about. I was put off by the end because it was extremely sudden and lacked any feeling of closure, but I suppose that's permissible since the story in fact doesn't end here. I also thought the parts from Amadiro's perspective were boring and somewhat unnecessary.. it removed the element of surprise from a lot of parts. Also not thrilled that Gladia was the otherwise main character since she's kind of annoying and ditzy, but at least she wasn't as annoying as in the last two books.

Thanks for writing this, Asimov!
