liked it

Cute, prototypical quest story. Except with children and baseball instead of hobbits and swords. Chabon's always fun to read, though he's not at his fullest here.

(Audiobook-specific: his narration is enjoyable, too.)

Definitely something I would play during a future car trip with kids. Recommended for adults who happen to be looking for an adventure, but not in the mood for swords and/or require excessive levity. Love of baseball not required, but would help.
