Many great sentences: "I've never seen a great football player who wanted to learn a foreign language"; "Much of the appeal of sport derives from its dependence on elegant gibberish" - the latter at the beginning of one of the best and funniest descriptions of a sports game I've read. A very funny and a very memorable book.
