3.5 stars - This is a prequel to Mythos Academy. The reader is introduced to Gwen and her magic. This is about how Gwen has come to Mythos Academy and how her talent works. This is just an introduction. We don't get to know the characters yet and we only get a taste of the world.

As far as intros go, this was good. It left me wanting to read more.

*UPDATE* This is not a necessary read if you are planning on reading the Mythos Academy Series. Chapter 2 of Touch of Frost (Book 1) does a nice cliff notes style recap of First Frost.
