I first read this book when I was around 12 years old, and I recall not liking it, but nothing else really about the story. This time around, I absolutely loved this book. I found it to be creepy, frightening and extremely relevant in light of where we are today as an American society when it comes to free speech. Did you know that America is 42nd on the list of global nations when it comes to free speech?

Alison Yeah, Sera, 5 stars for both Rory selections this month! :)

Sera I was pleasantly surprised myself :)

Alison I surprised myself giving Ella Minnow Pea five stars, but I think for what it set out to do, it did it amazingly well.

Sarah Null It's interesting that, for all the talk about what a great pairing the two books were this month, no one has started a compare/contrast thread.

Sera I know, Sarah. I was wondering the same thing myself....
