The opening chapters of this book will resonate with every person that was ever picked last for kickball as a kid(which I would assume would be many of us on this website). Since migrating from the Children to Adult section of the public library around the age of twelve, I had the perception that Children's literature began and ended with "1001 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins" and "Superfudge". This book proved that I was very wrong, and I appreciate that fact.
