really liked it
bookshelves: 2011, fiction, library-book
Read from August 23 to September 28, 2011

Overall, I enjoyed this. It's the closely observed lives of a family in America that simultaneously examines life today. I didn't enjoy it as much as Freedom. And I did find it a bit relentlessly gloomy in outlook. There were parts where he had tried for humour/farce but they weren't actually funny as such.
