** spoiler alert **
For some reason, I could never get through the second part of this book--I guess it was because I was so used to hearing about the other characters from the first one that it turned me off from finishing it.
The first part, "Charmed Life", was definitely my favorite--Cat did get on my nerves sometimes because of how loyal he was to his older sister (who is the most disgusting, cruel and evil character I ever read, in my opinion), but I rooted for him in the end. The second part, "The Lives of Christopher Chant", was certainly difficult to get into reading at first but it started to grow on me after a while. The only bad thing I would have to say about this was that the ending felt a little rushed. I was expecting some sort of face off between Christopher and Uncle Ralph, something a little reminiscent of the one that took place at the end of "Charmed Life". I was really keen on finding out what happened to the rest of the Wraith after Ralph was captured and it just left me feeling a little disappointed.
Out of the two books, I would have to say "Charmed Life" is my favorite. The characters seemed more memorable. "The Lives of Christopher Chant" had some memorable characters as well, but not by much.
