Once I discovered how good Ms. Frank’s books are when I began reading her second series, The Shadowdwellers, I was determined to keep up with that series and anything new she has to offer in the future. She’s just too good to miss, as I’ve done with her debut series, The Nightwalkers. She has once again left me spellbound with this newest series and in awe of her talent.

Asia has been doing her own investigation on Julian Sawyer, a handsome playboy who she suspects of kidnapping and killing women, the latest victim her sister. She’s been the only one to put the pieces together and now she’s so close to proving her suspicions. Assuming the airs of the type of woman who attracts Julian, Asia puts her plan in motion, but she couldn’t be more surprised at the outcome when all is said and done.

Trying to save his colony and his people, Julian takes willing human women to his world where they are revered. As he’s forced to take Asia home with him when she learns too much, he realizes she’s his kindra, the one meant only for him. Now he has to make sure she acclimates to his world which is so very different from hers, fraught with danger at every step. Asia, however, doesn’t need anyone, especially a man as domineering as Julian, but she finds out very quickly she just may need him in this strange land where she has no choice but to leave her previous life and now make the best of things as an alien among stangers.

Since I began reading Ms. Frank’s Shadowdwellers series, I’ve been simply amazed at her imagination. She always gives readers something very different from the norm in paranormal romance. This new series is no exception. Julian’s world is several layers beneath the Earth’s crust, a world where one misstep will send someone spiraling to their death, a world that is ruled by energy and the beings who have learned how to harness it. Asia ends up doing quite well in his world due to her independence and defense training and, of course, Julian’s love when she finally lets it consume her.

This is another series I’ll be waiting for book by book to see what happens next. I have a feeling at this point every book or series Ms. Frank writes will be like that for a lot of readers out there. Each book is definitely worth the wait.
