Danielle Steel's books are always light and entertaining reading, and I've read every one of them. This book centers around three people who share a birthday; a mother and daughter, and a sportscaster, and the angst that each of them feels about hitting a milestone. The mother is turning 60, the daughter 30, and the sportscaster 50. Events take place that forever cement the three of them, and make them realize that life shouldn't be lived in accordance with a pre-determined clock.

While Danielle Steel does have a bad habit of repeating herself (sometimes to the point that one wonders if she's trying to fill pages), she didn't do quite so much of that in this book. At least, she waited a chapter or two before attributing the same thought to a character this time, so it wasn't as noticeable.

I enjoy her books, though, and I'm sure will continue reading them as long as she continues writing them.
