Every time I read a book by Dean Koontz, I have an expectation of grandeur for some reason and I always wind up disappointed. Maybe it's his long-windedness or the fact that his books are so out there that when I finally come to the point where the reader is going to find out how everything ties together, he throws in something ridiculous like time travel or a "hole" in the universe. Give me a break!! Make it more realistic! I know he's probably trying to make his novels "different" from every other novel but I'm not a big fan of his approach. Anyways, I liked this novel to the point where you find out where this time traveler is from. I won't ruin this for anyone but if those "people" had a way to get to the future, then things would be a lot different. I was very disappointed! Boo!!
