The Golden Spruce: A True Story of Myth, Madness, and Greed

Loved it, felt like Krakauer writing about BC. When I first heard about the book, I wasn't convinced a whole book about the Golden Spruce would be interesting, but the book also gives a history of first contact between natives and Europeans on BC's coast, a history of the Queen Charlotte's and Grant Hadwin. I found it to be fascinating. There's definitely a bias, but I didn't find it to be over the top or slippery with the facts.
