Rosoff's writing is simply beautiful and poetic. I wanted to mark up this book because there were so many beautiful lines, but as it's for my class library, I resisted the urge. I also like that Rosoff personified Fate, much the way that Zusack personified Death in The Book Thief. However, Fate in this case truly is fickle and really does like to play with people. What's really interesting in this book is the way that Rosoff deals with an adolescent figuring out his identity. Just in Case is a haunting and beautiful novel.
