Sellevision

by Augusten Burroughs
This, the second of Burroughs' books that I've read, was an entertaining spin through the chaotic lives of the hosts on a home shopping television station, as they encounter one after another crazy situation.
Unlike his other books, which appear to be memoirs, this was a case of pure fiction. And, while I enjoyed it, for what it was, I think I prefer his autobiographical stories, a bit more. Each of the characters was interesting in their own way, but some seemed to blend in with others, and I was confused for the first half of the story, between Leigh and Trish, whose presence wasn't as developed as some of the others. With that said, in the end, Burroughs' dryly funny writing style caught me, and I enjoyed finding out what happened to everyone.
If you enjoy this title, I'd recommend Douglas Coupland, for similar craziness, with a more polished style.
