The author, Isabel Wilkerson tells of the decades-long migration of black citizens from the South to the North and West. From 1915 to 1970 over six million people fled, this story tells how this American journey unfolded, especially for three people...Ida Mae Gladney, George Starling and Robert Foster. It is an amazing story.
