I picked this book up randomly. The cover stated that it was "one of the best love stories ever written" (or something along those expectational lines). Without reading anymore I brought it home, to discover that it was based around a suicide pact between boyfriend and girlfriend. I was not looking forward to reading it after that, it felt a little depressing. However, I gave it a whirl and even though it was based around a court case I found myself getting into the story and the characters. As a reader you feel like a part of the jury and even though it is filled with facts, it (for me at least) did not get boring. I will recommend this book to someone that likes to read, but not if you are just an occasional reader. Just keep in mind it is not your average Nicolas Sparks love story.
