I am a fan of Dean Koontz, however I find that every time I read a book by him I am somewhat disappointed. I blame this on the fact that I fell in love with his Odd Thomas series and I am expecting to read something that good in all his other books. Which is never really the case, but I keep trying. The story line of this book seemed to be worthwhile, but quickly I found I was not enjoying it as much as I wanted to. The dialogue of the characters relationship seemed pushed, like he over wrote how in love they were or how happy or how different they were. The story was decent, but got a bit blah as well. Other than that it was just another Dean Koontz Murder/Mystery/Thriller book.
