Well, what can I say? I guess the descriptions on the back of the book should have tipped me off. Most described it as "pulpy". That's a bit of an understatement. I had to put this book aside a few times because my gag reflex was acting up. Self mutilation to the extreme, and then the end...the location of Perry's final triangle. Well. That was just toooooooo much, and who could write that? Ew. Plus, the ending was abrupt. However, most of the book was like a trainwreck - I couldn't look away. I didn't put it down because I had to know what was going to happen. I liked Earthcore better.
