This is a riveting book for fans of post-apocalyptic thrillers. Even though the premise is pure science fiction, the science portion of the novel is fairly downplayed and the focus is instead on the several and scattered characters. This book kept me up till late and as I was approaching the end, I got positively nervous that no resolution would be shown, but it does end in a surprise revelation (which I saw coming in the first 50 pages), and a fascinating cliffhanger. I cannot wait until the second part of the saga!
