not one of his classics but still an interesting read. this book is about a fictitious country where people suddenly stop dieing. The book then charts the aftermath in the country an how, temporarily, people, church, government and society reacts. All until death makes a return but this time by giving the people she will kill violet coloured letters a week before their last day. But then death meets one person whose letter is returned to death ....
