really liked it

I was pleasantly surprised by The Thank You Economy. Although I think Gary V is a rock star, I did not enjoy his first book, Crush It. Something about this one told me I should read it. And I'm glad I did.

Claiming to be an expert in social media turns me off. Vaynerchuk doesn't claim to be an expert. He just claims (rightfully so) to have some great ideas.

To me, this book is more about the customer experience than it is about social media. Social media is just the tapestry on which his service story is told.

"The difference between the performance of a company populated by people who really care and one populated by people who care because they're paid to is the difference between Bruce Springsteen and Milli Vanilli."

So true. And The Thank You Economy is full of great examples of how companies are using the web and social media to care for their customers.

Awesome book for business owners and managers alike.
