I love Sherlock Holmes - the books need to be read carefully, they are wordy and so much happens in each story that if you are not paying full attention you completely miss all the intricacies of Holmes investigations and end up having to re-read everything you skimmed! Sigh - so reading this was a battle as usual but totally enjoyable - a few of the stories in this collection really stood out in fact 'His Last Bow' and 'The Adventure of the Dying Detective' particularly. It is a shame there are so few tales of the great detective - but he lives on over 100 years later so I can't complain too much!. Holmes is a must read for all fans of mystery and detection!
