While a story of a young girl coming of age during 1940 Nazi Germany era may sound like it has been done countless times, never like this. Zusak weaves a tale of love, loss, unusual moral choices for unusual times, friendship, and the power of words all told by death as the narrator. This is a book destined to be discussed for both its content and the craft of the writing itself. This book leaves me with lots of questions and many things to ponder.
