I discovered Harlan Coben a few years back, and his books have never failed me.
This was the first book he ever wrote, but I enjoyed it just as much as I have his other, more recent books. The mystery itself is intriguing, if not a little predictable. I was able to guess who the killer was, but it didn't stop me from appreciating the story. All of his characters seem real and are well-written. Mr. Coben's writing style flows smoothly and is very easy to read; his style reminds me a little bit of James Patterson's, at least in the fact that it is easy to read and keeps you wanting to turn pages.
This was a great book. It has a little bit of everything: love, murder, betrayal. It even has a plot that a sports-lover would enjoy since one of the main characters is a professional basketball player. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery or thriller.
