Once you become accustomed to the antique style, this becomes fascinating. I read the one year version but will seek out the rest. He was a randy ole fella, and, considering that he wrote this diary while holding down a big government job, maintaining an active social life, going to plays every night, he surely can be considered an early prototype of the Type A personality. Also fascinating is his account of his marriage. He married when he was around 20, and his bride was 14. Lots of infidelity, but she kept taking him back.
