really liked it

On a very hot day in Fargo, it seemed appropriate to revisit Cold War Moscow in the depths of a Russian winter for the murder of two Russian students and an American, investigated by an appealing anti-hero (another conflicted, basically honest cop in a corrupt and obtuse system) and hinging on smuggling sables and a US-Soviet link going back to WWII. With fur hats, dachas, vodka, saunas and frozen corpses with no faces, this is a consummate winter story.
