Not Brookmyre's best, but not bad in any way. It's a book of two halves, really - the first half is mainly concerned with philosophical and religious beliefs, and puts forward some very reasonable arguments for being bith Christian and Athiest. Some of the dialogue between characters is well thought out and at times thought provoking.

The latter half of the book is more what you'd expect from Brookmyre - namely ordinary folk being thrown into some horrific situation entirely unprepared.

A good read for fans of his other work and those interested in the differing perspectives of priests and school teachers.
