Though I absolutely love Maya Banks this book was a bit much for me. I'm not big on BDSM so that made the reading difficult to get into so I will admit to skimming the "love scenes". Maybe because I myself am so strong-willed and don't take to authority well. Not to mention I had to cringe every time a whip came into use. But though I usually don't seek out BDSM novels, the rest in between was great. Since I had already read about the other characters I still had to learn about Micah. And for a submissive character such as Angelina, she said had such strength. Banks is very good about making, what the average person would look at as unacceptable, at least understandable. Though this still isn't something for me, I can say I am at least more open-minded about others who may find interest in it. And the end was as great as all her other novels. Very action-packed. Even if you are not a BDSM fan, if you read the rest of the Sweet Series, this book is a must.
