it was amazing
bookshelves: non-fiction
Read from March 14 to 25, 2012

I found this book not only educational but eloquently written. That's a rare combination. Both the story of Grant Hadwin and the presentation of the history of logging in British Columbia was fascinating reading.

John Vaillant
“By the time these words are read, the centuries-old cedar, hemlock, and balsm of the cutblock known as Leah Block 2 will be a distant memory, long since processed into siding, two-by-fours, perhaps even the paper that has been recycled into the pages of this book.”
