The Killing Game (Eve Duncan, #2)
by Iris Johansen
by Iris Johansen
I had not read Iris Johansen before and was slightly disappointed by the book. The plot was good, for the most part. It was a quick and relatively suspenseful read. I think she tried too hard to create characters who were psychologically complicated; it was rather awkward to read some of their "deep insight" scenes. It also felt a little emotionally scattered. There was too much random drama involved with the plot. Overall, it was a good book but definitely did not master the best aspects of a good murder mystery. I'll probably read some more of her books to get a better feel for her.
