** spoiler alert ** There were some things I liked about this book:
1) I liked that this romance was between the silly sister and the boring man. They are usually side characters and I like to see them get their own romance.
2) Mary Balogh's writing is always fantastic and she maneuvers her characters into these challenging conversation with one another.
3) Angeline managed to be silly, without being vapid.
4) The side romance was fun

There were also things I didn't like about this book:
1) I preferred the side romance to the main romance. I suppose the two romances were supposed to be a matched set but Angeline was not rakish enough to offset Winslow and so the difference between Eunice and her beau was more interesting than the difference between Edward and Angeline.
2) Nothing seems to happen. Lots of balls. Shopping (why do romance heroines ALL like to go shopping?)
3) The ending ruse and the letter. Big groaner.
4) The epilogue. Couldn't it have ended without the twins. I could have imagined them with kids. Or not able to have kids but finding peace and comfort in their relationship. The epilogue was extreemly superfluous.
