Read from July 23 to 28, 2011

For a book about wild places it was disappointingly tame, calm, formulaic. I guess it was going for wistful contemplative self inflicted isolation but I wanted rich wild and stormy histories and stories, lonely adventure and survival of self and land.
It felt like wild dabbling, not wild abandonment.
