Joe Molinari (view spoiler)! Now I have to wait four months to get the next book from the library - dammit!

It looks like another "co-author" is picking up the series in Book 7, which I think is a good thing because Maxine Paetro is wandering away from the concept of the Club (i.e. the women working together to solve crimes). The ladies are all off in different directions with different plots in this book.

As with Book 5, there are plots galore: two killers and one set of kidnappers to track, a murder trial, plus a break-up, an out-of-town almost-fling ((view spoiler)) and a surprise pregnancy.

(As a side note, being in this Club is quite hazardous to the health - (view spoiler). While it's obviously ludicrous for this much violent crime to happen to such a small group of people, there's something almost cheerful about the way the writers fling the characters into danger and death.)
