it was amazing

Amazing! Luca was a great main character...struggling to understand himself and his blessing/curse of having long life. I loved the intertwining of Luca's life with real people...Leonardo da Vinci, the Medici family, Botticelli...it was very well done and their relationships were believeable. I especially liked the author's depiction of da Vinci...from precocious child to talented artist. Following Luca during his life and path to self-discovery was rich in detail and emotion...some parts were painful to read and others parts were joyous. Luca's quest to understand faith, friendship, family, love, and God make him relatable to me as the reader. My only complaint is I wish Part 2 would have had more detail about certain parts of Luca's life. However, even with that complaint I still think this book rates 5 stars. It was incredible...so interesting and well-developed.
