A great read. It's like Cthulhu for Kids. Sky lives in a world where monsters are real, but not the ones you've heard of. The smart ones have remained hidden and few people know anything about them. Sky is one of those people.
I loved how alive the world EJ Patten created seemed to be. the creatures of his world have stories and legends told about them that you hear bits and pieces of in the novel, some even have their own nursery rhymes. The supporting characters never just come onstage, do something then leave, but each has his or her own motivations and goals, some of which you only get hints at.
A very well woven tale that anyone, young or old will love!
