This was more interesting than expected. Mould jumps right in in the world of bidding and attribution and art establishment hoity-toity, but soon the mysteries and creativity and uncovering of history swept me in. He talks a lot about money and how many pounds this or that sold for, which I didn't care about at all, but all the bits of historical sleuthing and using science and artistry to uncover the beautiful originals hidden under centuries of "restoration" and improvement attempts was really, really cool. 3.5 stars, rounded up.
