Nick's review of Atlas Shrugged
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
Rand presents her faith-free moral philosophy in which there are no obligations, only exchanges, between individuals. If it were not absurdly long, the story used to deliver this good news would be entertaining. The setting is an interesting alternate-universe 1940s, and there is an amusing correlation between the taughtness of a character’s facial skin and the degree to which he or she complies with Rand’s philosophy.
