Sleeping Arrangements
by Madeleine Wickham
by Madeleine Wickham
A Wickham books. Same author as the Shopaholic books, but these are a little different. I actually like Wickham books more because they are slightly more real and less over the top then when she writes as Kinsella. Also, there are a lot less characters, which I like because it's less people to have to follow.
In this book two families end up staying at a Spain villa together at the same time. The owner is some weird guy whom the Girl in one family knows and the Dude in the other family. The two of them had a thing many moons ago and they end up having sex because they think that the owner threw them together because of their history. Turns out it is because the Dude works for some company that is buying out the Girls partners company and he just wanted to make them uncomfortable. SO LAME! Also, each family is having problems of their own, so it's not like the sex comes out of nowhere (sort of). In the end, nothing gets resolved. Partner is out of work, Girl and Dude DO NOT get together and no one tells and Dude and his wife are still not getting along. A little fluffy for Wickham, but not as bad as Kinsella.
Grade: C
