A Good Year (MTI)
by Peter Mayle
Ok, so i've been reading more of the story and it is soo different from the movie. But, I think that I like the movie better. I dont know. I haven't finished the book yet so it's hard to say.
Well, so far Max's assistant in the movie (Gemma) doesn't exist and he lost his job in the beginning of the book. Unlike in the movie, where he is just on suspension.
And, in the book Fanny, Max's love interest, is the sweetest person you can imagine, however, in the movie, she is pretty rude.
Yes, that is basically it. There are many, many more things that changed from book to movie, but i dont want to put them in or else i'd have to put "spoilers" on.

Ok, well i should probably state that I only began to read this book because I saw the movie and I really liked it. I haven't gotten very far and it's in it's descriptive beginning stage still, so it's kind of slow, but overall still good.
It is about a man named Max who inherits his uncle's vineyard in Provence, France. What will happen? You're guess is as good as mine... except I've watched the movie so I might have just an little bit more of an idea than you do...
Ok, so I finished the book and I really liked it. It took a little while to read, but it was definately worth it. It was the exact opposite of the movie and i was really surprised by this because the movie would have been so much better if it followed the book, at all... I recommend that you should read this book.
